Share the journey of creativity with the community. The hurdles, obstacles, joy, humor, and triumphs we encounter when creating in this bizarre beautiful world.

I did not feel inspired today, at all.

But I sound down and I shipped it, I was in my head so that’s what I wrote about
One a day to keep the doctor away.

Going to share a poem everyday. Not take it seriously, just put something simple out there.

This feels like the right type of pressure.
Shared this poem, it’s written awkwardly the explanation is in thread.

Feel self-conscious about it, but just trying to blast more things out to the world to make it feel less high stakes.
I was just talking about this!

“Your story needs you”

Such great advice. It would be cool to be published, maybe one day, but it’s even cooler to be there for your story.
Sharing my work is scary.

This one was inspired by a slightly inebriated uber ride home from Manhattan, and 10 years of living in the greatest city in the world.
Early in my writing, I completed 1 story which I wasn’t proud of after months of writing

Got caught in the V4 edits when I wasn’t sure where I was heading.

Frustrated spending lots of time on a stories I didn’t want to finish. I changed my process, write a few paragraphs from the same seed of an idea, move on.
This one is big for me; I often see infinite avenues branching. I struggle to pick which one.

Time is fleeting, be selective on which plants you water 🌱 🪴
I think we all struggle with this. Momentum, self criticism, holding our self to unrealistic standards.

Really appreciate @yonfrula being vulnerable and sharing his experience.

Power through, ask for assurances from your community. Build yourself back up.

WE got this.

Watched before my daily writing session, and it really helped me feel inspired!

Another source of inspiration for me has been slowly reading a small section of The Odyssey. (This was set in motion by reading The War of Art, which references it a lot)
This brings me so much joy. Inspiring each other towards creative pursuits is why I made this channel.

Thanks so much 🥰🥰
It is tough to know which seeds to nurture. I experience this regularly
Write a poem, earn DEGEN!

Money is a good incentive to inspire creativity. Especially internet money. 🎩 Why not!
This is a great tip! Opening your mind and exposing yourself to great works, soaking them in always peak my creativity.

Rick Rubin talks about this in “Great Works” section of his book here (will post next page in response to this cast)
Inspiring to see someone’s art proliferate on this platform. Cooking something’s myself with hopes of sharing it here.

@sum was a big inspiration for me
This might sound simple, but is a wonderful simplification and easy reminder of creative practice.

I struggle with these steps. Going to use this as a reminder next time I start my next project.
I wrote this short poem this morning, inspired by @briantoups ‘s Astro photography and channel /astro-art

Sharing my work isn’t always straightforward, all the more reason to do it more. Just do.
Inspiring history of culture, Griots.
Human history is the history of story tellers.
Years of patience to achieve a beautiful outcome.

Great art takes patience
The truth about harnessing the depths of your creativity.
What is more inspiring than the universe becoming.

We are all stardust.
Not knowing the destination doesn’t mean we are not making progress.

Just do.
I found this inspiring!

I love seeing other artists tools and craft and learning about how they create in the world. I’ve always been driven to awe by the vastness of space, someone capturing it that I’m talking to is just so cool!

Thanks for sharing @briantoups
This is a beautiful cast.
I also have been inspired to create by the positivity of the FC community.

Overcoming the obstacle of “should I make this” “will anyone care” “what’s the point” etc. is very difficult.

Having a supportive community makes the world of difference
