my elder nephew has been asking my how my day is going when he comes to talk to me on facetime and i just melt 🥹🥹🥹🥹 like look at you growing up and knowing to ask such questions.
nothing prepares you for the transformation of being in a home of 7, to a home of 3, to being only you. the *quiet* feels lonely for the first few days and then you just get used to it.

as someone who barely gets out of bed before 10, im happily waking up before 7am since the last two days because i have the two most adorable humans (my nephews) as my alarms. My family is finally home after being in Vegas for four days (visiting a family friend from the East coast that was in Vegas for a competition).
Did I enjoy the peace and quiet? Yes! Plenty of uninterrupted video game time too. After the second day, I was over it.
