every saturday morning i host a live stream on /vibra where i practice freestyle coding session around a common theme. the theme right now is creating a /farcards leaderboard on /dune
in three weeks i have gone from minimal dune knowledge to creating a query that can get the total transaction value by date range for a given farcard. some super important unlocks have been:
- how to add a contract or token address as an parameter
- how to use build in date pickers to choose a date range
- how to use decoded block chain data from complex contracts in queries
- how to use curated asset tracking for nfts
so far so good! come through next week!

when you do something regularly at the same time, both you and your internet frens get used to it
he has done 3 livestreams every Saturday at the same time. maretus got unconsciously familiar with that. soon more people will know it. and get used to “beachmfer codes”. and organize their day around that, to hopefully participate and learn
so that’s important
but another thing that is important and i want to point out is the magic that it has FOR BEACH to do this weekly
because you commit to do something. maybe you doubt if to do it. and then it starts and you feel laggy
but suddenly, 50 minutes in the session, you have a breakthrough
**a breakthrough that can only happen because you were present in those circumstances**
and that changes everything
you never know when
and that’s the magic of showing up
