Launch ideas, play together

The most flattering thing a stranger has ever said to me on the internet.
5 Indie Party ideas that caught my eye:

🎛️ A consulting company for live music, visual design and performance

💻 An open source Next.js starter kit

🎤 Bring LIVE beatboxing to web3

🔵 Finish a hackathon project built on @base

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Start a local support group for entrepreneurs

Apply by September 8, 2024 if you want to join:

Inertia is underrated.

A body in motion tends to stay in motion.

So if you're having trouble starting a hard thing:

🏎️ Get going on something else that's easier.

🏃 Keep moving - stay in motion.

⛷️ That hard thing will feel like it's downhill, because you're already moving.
The Wayback Machine is a gold mine for researching the history of a brand.

1. Find a brand that's where you want to be in 3-5 years.
2. Plug their domain into the Wayback Machine.
3. Walk through the evolution of their messaging, value props, everything.

You'll learn a ton.
Have you ever paid money to participate in a hackathon or other builder/creator event?

This first round of Indie Party is free but I'm trying to find sustainability due to the cost and time required to run it.

An entry fee would mean participants have maximum creative freedom.

Sponsorships could make it free but often mean you need to use the sponsor's tools (not ideal).

During the day Roku just wants to sleep on the couch so I met him where he's at for this "Unleash Your Idea" spot 😂
"Can we get your dog to sit in an office chair like they're at a rave?"

"I tried, but no, the dog wanted nothing to do with the camera, the lights, nor the hat.

Thank you AI.
You won't win your first 5K.

But you can:

💪 Build strength and endurance
⚡️ Surround yourself with other runners to boost your energy
😀 Feel good about what you achieve

Maybe you should just try that thing you want to try.

And stop worrying about being the best right away.
Are you ready to unleash your creativity and bring your ideas to life?

What is the best part of your day and why is it morning coffee? ☕️
As I am about to embark on another dynamic image generation engine, I am re-reading this article I wrote last July.

Sometimes I wish I documented everything like this because it's amazing how much is forgotten in just a few months 🙃

I may or may not be having a hard time replacing my coffee maker. Currently trying model #4.
The real reason I wear sweatshirts on group Zoom calls is so that new people know I'm a developer. It's about clarity.
Broken coffee pot. I'm living an indie nightmare right now.
This statement hit home for me.

The pull towards entrepreneurship is more about bringing ideas to life than it is about hitting the unicorn jackpot.
Take control. Make it happen.
