This song, called "ダイナマイト節" can be translated as "Dynamite Song" and belongs to the Sōshi Enka genre, linked to the 自由民権運動 (Freedom and People's Rights Movement) during the Meiji period, which fought for civil liberties and democratic reforms.

I must say the melody is quite unique and catchy 💣 💥

Sharing one of my favorite Yumi Matsutoya track, Saturday Night Zombies. From 1987, it's a very good synth pop track with some funky accents!

Max energy level for this 1987 funky pop track by Yurie Kokubu! Amazing album by the way!

Sharing some more Mari Iijima. Last one I shared here had some Ryuichi Sakamoto production input, and this time, it has a roster of musicians such as Kazumi Watanabe, Seigen Ono, Yasuaki Shimizu or Minako Yoshida. Quite impressive!

Typical late 80s Japanese power pop, by Kenjiro Sakiya. In my opinion his late 80s album are by far his best works, "Realism" & "Kiss of Life" if you're interested to look it up!

Haven't shared some Akiko Yano in a while, so here's a new wave banger from one of her early 80s album. Along with Yukihiro Takahashi on drums and Ryuichi Sakamoto on Synth, she delivers a production that almost sound like a proto-techno/house track. Love it!

Another gem from THE best Japanese music composer in my opinion, Haruomi Hosono. He's done several works for Movie soundtrack, but this one on "Paradise View", released in 1985, is really one of my favorite!

Amazing long remix of Especia's 海辺のサティ from 2013.
A blend of 80s vibes, Nu Disco and slow house with Japanese vocals. Lovely!
