Not trends, not the next big thing

Every day is all there is.
Slow things to get involved with. Often quickly. 11/10 would recommend.
I wish it was more acceptable to be living in tune with the seasons.

For example, I'd like to hibernate a lil more and work a lil less in winter months ^^

Whoever needs a reminder to take it slow... here it is.

Reading is probably listed among slow hobbies, as it moves us out of the instant gratification loop.

Found this video spoke about much more than just that, to a need to remove ourselves from the constant distractions, and the ability to just say no

🌅 "Difficulty is not always the enemy."

⏳ Difficulty as SlowCoLaborator.

🪁 What difficulty has been good for you lately?
Music on the mind atm. Care for some that’s “kind of retro-futurist, neo-folk. Cyber pagan.”? (Quote: Callum Copley)

Fill yer boots.

Suggestions welcome, ofc.

Almudena Romero’ field-size photography:

“Together with Nicolas Langlade we are developing a pioneer art-science project using genetic differences in wheat and other grasses that result in photosynthesis-based colour variations to produce the largest photographic artwork ever made. With the help of an algorithm specifically developed for this project and the genetic information from French National Institute for Agriculture Research @inrae databases, we are set to farm in a pesticide-free manner a photographic image of an eye with dimensions of 3 hectares, 30.000 sqm2.”

What does slow AI look like?

- Rory Sutherland from Ogilvy, in what is the best talk I’ve seen in a long time (about slow much more than AI).

If you have 30 minutes watch it.

Slow Productivity.

1. Do fewer things (at once).
2. Work at a natural pace (seasons).
3. Obsess over quality.

Farcaster Friends of Nuance: is the nanny state, in fact, slow?

Below is a feature that turns off. The user has no control.

1. Nanny state or good for you?
2. Are these mutually exclusive?
3. Is the concept different when building products vs being the actual State?
