Stablecoins, and crypto for the real world.

Been a lot of iteration/experimentation to get to this point, still a long ways away❕❕
With Tori - we don't generate the yield ourselves, but rather, connect you with protocols like Aave.

Supplying USDC right now provides 26.29%.

Some folks are already on day 10 👀 👀 👀
We've onboarded college students, to millennials, to crypto natives, and everyone in between.

Alot of work to still be done - lmk if anyone wants to give Utopia a try!
We're experimenting with content outside of crypto twitter, and aiming for our next product to hit the mass consumer market.

Here's our first video - quick reflection is that we want to be more serious in our next one, but we're having fun!

Wallstreet has definitely not priced in @Base.

Skin in the game - the only stock I'm in is Coinbase.

Average rev in Q1 = $9,773,882.33
It's the perfect time (finally) to build crypto enabled financial tools for retail imo:

1. DeFi protocols are more resilient -> You can have confidence in Aave/Morpho/DAI/Uni (but risk is never 0!)

2. Liquidity on fast/cheap chains -> sDAI on L2's in a few weeks, CCTP, etc.
Looking for a part time video + content creator in SF that's able to film 1/2 times a week at the Utopia office.

You'll grow our consumer brand from 0 -> 1.

We're looking at filming our journey building a transparent fintech/crypto consumer brand from the ground up.

Will send 1ETH if you can refer someone great!
The opportunity for stablecoins for borderless payments can be summarized in one sentence:

Countries struggle to coordinate their real-time payment networks.
Why isn't there a USDT/TRON -> EVM bridge???

The only USDT/TRON -> USDT/EVM bridge that I see is All Bridge (which got hacked in April 2023) with very limited liquidity onchain.

The best "bridge" right now for USDT/TRON liquidity are the offshore CEX's themselves: Binance / Kucoin / Bybit / OKX, which makes sense.
Circle's CCTP integrating with SOL is going to one of the biggest catalysts for stablecoin payment applications taking off.

SOL USDC <> EVM USDC now has a safe, native bridge, almost at 0 cost (given that Circle only just charges gas).

With 4844 + SOL's already cheap fees, apps can sponsor gas sustainably.
"Digital Dollars" is much better framing for USDC than the following:

- USDC
- Stablecoins
- Tokens
- Crypto
Been heads down on accelerating stablecoin adoption the past few months.

Come visit us at ETH Denver, we'll be sharing our work there! https://lu.ma/ki9qtxe5
A fun, but imperfect analogy to make is comparing the early days of SMS to sending money onchain today:

Chain fragmentation is equivalent to nation state geographies: Sending $ from ETH to a SOL address is expensive today - so was a text from the US to Canada in the 2000's.
Welcome to the /utopia channel folks :)

One of the best research papers on stablecoins that I've read this past year is from the Brevan Howard team here: https://digify.com/a/#/f/p/ef09be008ee64ab68bda4f0a558302a2.

Here's 6 learnings from the /utopia team - I wrote it in the replies below.
