Art should do more than simply create or critique, it should reorient us to the profound ethical, philosophical, and aesthetic possibilities inherent in our entanglement with the world.
The more I think about it, talking about possible futures without considering multitudes of pasts doesn't make much sense. Attributing linearity in one direction and ignoring it in the other.
Was talking with a physics professor at MIT today about inflation (space-time not the boring kind) and curiously his theory was that space-time inflation started before (and even led to) the Big Bang
This of course sounds strange. For many non-creationist folks the Big Bang is the genesis of everything.
So it begs the question; how much time and what was there prior to the Big Bang? Billions of years? Eternity? Femtoseconds? Was there simply time but nothing else?
Fascinating to think about. He also invited me to take his course on Black holes and time travel 🤓

We were promised a revolution.
Instead, we got memes, mid AI, and XRP.

Make abstracts poetic again.
Been operating on weekly research/ build sprints recently across a variety of domains.
From crafting furniture to PCBs and even expressions of Interspecies communication between celestial and terrestrial beings.
The next series of sprints will be far more ambitious.

As I get more experienced I’ve learned it’s better to let things organically come to you than swim against the current. Seeds planted long ago that were hibernating are now starting to sprout. Energy that could have been lost inbetween is stored and ready for action.
I’m sure devcon is great and all, but I’m pretty sure I’m having more fun slicing trees with machines
What happens when we reduce life to information and everything to computing?
For example, if biological materiality, like a body, is reimagined through an info-computational based lens, it becomes a form of technology itself.
Are we comfortable with the implications of this?

Moving to a place where you can terminally build IRL will really knock the terminally online out of you
AI is not a panacea.
It is just a local anesthetic.

After a lot of time consumed in the digital ether, these days I'm enjoying being more present in the physical world, building tangible things with bits and atoms.
Our bodies aren’t just human—they’re living archives of the world around us. From plants to animals to the inorganic, all of that continues to live within us, shaping who we are in ways we don’t even realize
Many physicists suspect we are in for a radical reunderstanding of reality, as big as the one Albert Einstein orchestrated more than a century ago.
Probably nothing.

It's great to know how to make things,
but knowing what to make and why to make are certainly more powerful.

TIL that Facebook was launched the same day (Feb 4th 2004) that LifeLog was cancelled.
Obviously coincidental of course.

Interesting to think about all of us logging our lives on platforms, recording our activity, interests and relationships with others.
That data could be exploited by governments, businesses or militaries through surveillance. Glad the project was cancelled and that was the end of that...

Fantasy is way more important than knowledge because knowledge is limited
Took a break from everything to go look at paintings.
I try to appreciate the beauty of everyday mundane things, but sometimes you need to gaze for hours at a masterpiece to fully realise the magnitude of the beauty that exists all around us.

So bison are accepting different species into the herd while the humans riot over "foreigners"
