There’s so many ways to slice a problem until you forget what approaches are there so you avoid searching exhaustively.
It’s best to choose a model that you vibe or are familiar with. As an analyst, it’s cardinality, quantity, time. A marketer thinks in funnels and conversion. Product: engagement/retention. Trader: supply, demand (liquidity) and positioning. Consultant: issue trees
The trick is to resonate psychologically with your stakeholders and understand the root of the problem and approach they can implement. They all slice different but serve the same food
For instance, if you are asked how can to increase trading volume. A consultant would break down into users and volume. An analyst would tell you we need more user types and pools. A marketer would then tell you ask what users come into use the DEX and do afterwards. Product ensures that users have a use case across all scenarios to increase retention and engagement. Traders do their mark out analysis, when bid/asks are made.

There is small spike in the number of first time storage slot buyers and people who added on more slots!
yes you can directly with Flipside's live query where you can call embedding APIs with VERY generous limits such as Gemini (work horse) or Jina (one of the best)
However, you need to supply an API key (that's why generous limits are needed) but this should make it more accessible

Sudden surge in Coinbase Verification? 👀
Was looking into Stripe Pay With Crypto. Its basically a white label of Paxos with Stripe distribution. A lot the address and account management is done between Stripe and Paxos and its hard to map a specific merchant to address
This means the onus is on the merchant to disclose. And ofc not your keys, not your coins

If the ask isn't too crazy, I don't mind helping out a project or protocol on farcaster to make a dashboard for free
I may be a bit slow. Have been out of serious data work for awhile. Let me know in the comments and I'll see how I can accommodate. I wanna get back into the game
Your data must be on Dune (onchain)

IMO one interesting paradigm from Farcaster is that you can actually contact the people who trade particular at NFT collections, marketplaces, memecoins, or dexes
helpful for GTM, product, marketing teams👀

XmR Charts on Farcaster: Cast Count
XmR charts are borrowed from Operations Research. It is a technique to find anomalies at a glance while making noise less obvious
Pretty wild swings in the number of casts for the past 6 months before getting quiet. We are seeing an uptick lately

With some clever data filtering, you can do this on Flipside as you can call LLMs in SQL to do summaries for casts

🤔 Finally a use for cumulative charts?
Usually seen as a vanity metric, but you can use to compare rate of growth across cohorts.
We compare the cumulative casts made by users week number and tracking their cast count x weeks later.

Made a smol tool:
✅ extracts text from articles, PDFs, images, YouTube transcripts
✅ one click copy to clipboard for prompting. No more painful highlighting. Esp. on mobile
✅ added a feature where you can generate marketing copy + product marketing analysis

What is the funniest, most unhinged piece of analytics related content you’ve seen? Doesn’t have to be crypto. I need more humor in my life rn

An idea: Help analysts use trusted, verified corporate information natively on-chain
✅ Public free data to use
✅ See how others are interacting with the business
✅ Composable to be used across the ecosystem
✅ Small fee to pay to request for data

Here’s what I think:
Managed to upload some KYB info onchain and parse them out into a table. Super inefficient SQL query because I am giga bad at json manipulation
I don't know whats the most efficient way to upload data onchain. There's million of rows. I want them to persist and be dwh agnostic

Can you get cast text without neynar?
I think I would use farcaster to tweet much nerdier analytics content since you can post directly to the right channels instead of the general audience
Have been wanting to do a social intelligence as a product for a long time.
Really want to build something out in the next 4 months before my internship ends, then spend the last 2 months promoting it or using it as a talking point in interviews
Before the explosion of LLMs, this is hard. Now its relatively easier
