This is “Opus 2” by @aylaelmoussa 💎

For me this artwork feels like a hourglass:

We are always looking at the future, thinking about the past and never living the present…
Different textures and moments that we forget how it tastes, smells and feel!!

The encounter of the triangles is the raw present.

Another greeeat reading, really recommend it!!! 💎

“The book presents the influential method developed by Professor Rowena Reed Kostellow for developing the perception of visual relationships underlying art, design and architecture. Developed over fifty years of teaching at the Pratt Institute in New York, the teaching program, divided into four parts – Fundamentals, Advanced Form Studies, Space Studies and Development – is basically composed of exercises of increasing complexity, which aim to raise awareness of spatial relationships and enable students to operate them in their projects. The explanations are illustrated by photographs of objects built in class and conclude with examples of the work of former students who became prominent in the field, including well-known figures such as Tucker Viemeister, Ralph Applebaum and Ted Muehling.”

It transforms the underlying pattern painting into a dynamic visual experience. These glass rods act as a portal, inviting viewers to explore the distorted and refracted beauty of the image beneath. The interplay of light and glass not only magnifies the details of the artwork but also introduces a mesmerizing quality, as if the painting is seen through a portal to a different dimension. This refractive interaction adds depth and complexity, making each glance at the piece a new discovery, revealing the art in a continually evolving and enchanting light.
