Gabriela Mistral was the first South American woman poet to win the Nobel Prize. Nebula is also named after her, as the nebula resembles her profile and is called either Gabriela Mistral Nebula or NGC 3324.

Here's Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS from last evening, captured in the skies over Ankara, Turkey. This incredible comet won’t return for another 80,000 years!

The SuperDuper Rarest Astrophotography photo I have ever taken...
Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) briefly showed a bicolor ion tail due to the interaction of solar wind with different ionized gases. The blue color came from ionized carbon monoxide (CO⁺), while the red color was caused by ionized sodium atoms, which glow red when excited by sunlight. This temporary effect happened as the comet passed through varying regions of the solar wind, causing the two distinct colors to appear.

This image was shot with a widefield to be able to include the many beautiful nebulae located deep within our galactic neighbor. This “next-door neighbor” is a companion, or in other words a satellite galaxy, of our own Milky Way Galaxy.
