Just came across LangChain’s beta implementation—a voice-enabled ReAct agent powered by OpenAI’s real-time API.

They’ve integrated real-time voice interaction into their agent framework, allowing for seamless, hands-free communication. What’s cool is that you can use any of LangChain’s tools (or even your own!) within this voice agent setup.
This could be a game-changer for building AI applications that interact through voice. If you’re into AI development, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Here’s the original announcement from LangChain:

Over the past few weeks, I’ve come across some insightful articles that really helped me piece together a bigger picture of where AI agents are headed. If you’re curious about AI agents, the agentic web, and how this all connects to enterprise automation, I highly recommend checking out these resources from Menlo Ventures and Felicis

You want a conspiracy theory, I'll give you a conspiracy theory:
When your marketing team took "customer acquisition" a little too literally.
- ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode – not available in the EU.

- AI features in Apple iOS – not available in the EU.

- Meta's Llama 3.2 model – not available in the EU.
This is called the "I might make another sandwich.... I might not"
So how did you solve the bug?

Me:
During a recent fireside chat, Sam Altman said that their latest AI model, "o1," has reached an advanced stage, which he referred to as level 2.

He hinted that the next big leap, level 3, will involve AI that can act on its own, like fully autonomous agents that can make decisions and carry out tasks without human guidance, and this might be coming sooner than we think.

OpenAI's 5 levels of Artificial Intelligence:

• Level 1: Chatbots, AI with conversation language
• Level 2: Reasoners, human-level problem solving
• Level 3: Agents, systems that can take actions
• Level 4: Innovators, AI that can aid in invention
• Level 5: Organizations, AI that can do the work of an organization
