ENS names are token-agnostic

Over time, all assets will be tokenized, and ENS names will be used to send and receive them

In this new paradigm, the entire global financial system will be powered by blockchains, CCIP, and ENS, enabling 24/7/365 markets that are open to everyone
A list of common identifiers that can benefit from having open, ownable names:

- Social handles
- Payment addresses, such as bank account numbers
- Phone numbers
- Ticker symbols
- Gamer tags
- Government IDs
- Healthcare IDs
- Vehicle identification numbers

The 'ENS Mullet' for Ecosystems

- Provide second-level ENS name support for individuals and institutions seeking full self-sovereignty over their name

- Issue gasless ENS subnames, enabling any user to claim a name for free while ensuring they still get the UX benefits of ENS
ENS is the naming system for the internet

Any name on the internet can and should eventually become an ENS name

DNS has demonstrated the importance of open website identifiers, and now ENS is enabling the full scope of identifiers like social handles to have open, ownable names
Users can now receive and manage funds onchain in a private manner, all while utilizing the same ENS name 🔥

Great work @fluidkey! https://x.com/fluidkey/status/1760364904224059899?s=46&t=qFkK_KIy0ka35TSvYxyHUw
ENS has the potential to serve as the foundational, general-purpose identifier system for both the internet and the real world

Given its permissionless, credibly neutral nature, ENS can support the creation and integration of any and all application-specific identifier systems
Tokenization of identifiers is a major upgrade for the internet

User-owned, interoperable identities and identifiers are key to enabling a single internet of social networks
Reminder: ENS names are multichain and capable of mapping to any arbitrary information via text records such as blockchain addresses, avatars, bios, and more

The ‘naming trilemma’

More on this soon 👀
Some of the key underlying protocols of the identity stack in my opinion:

- ENS: universal usernames & profiles
- EFP: portable social graphs
- DM3: portable content
- DM3: interoperable messaging

I believe these protocols only make open networks like Farcaster stronger

Glad to see more frENS have joined Farcaster!
Looking forward to Farcaster supporting ENS

The internet is slowly but surely transitioning to portable identities
CCIP-Read enables ENS subdomains to be offchain

These subdomains can have records such as avatars set gaslessly
ENS enables digital identities to accrue immutable provenance

Immutable provenance is crucial for building onchain reputation
ENS is your portable Web3 profile

These records are immutable and can now be added via Layer 2s!
ENS is bigger than just Web3

ENS is a protocol for the entire internet
Less than 1% of smart contracts have a primary name

Long term, every contract should become human-readable
ENS Records can serve as portable user data

For example, Rainbow Wallet displays avatars that are set as ENS Records

Decentralized Social will change the world
Welcome @ensvision!

The number one ENS marketplace is now on Farcaster🔥
Web3 needs more human-readable addresses

This integration is a massive step in the right direction⬇️ @dr3a
