Reading an old magazine from 2003, I found an interview with Don Nix, the writer and producer of many soul, blues and Rock classics. He was a member of The Mar-Keys. I bet you all know this immortal classic https://open.spotify.com/track/7H22uQMwKWl43uagzO4Pnn?si=C-Hj16XsS5mY-7ijg6KxUg

The Last is one of LA best kept secrets. Formed in the last 70's their albums have influenced lots of bands. Pop, psychedelia, punk, ... everything fits in the world of the Nolte Brothers. Bill Stevenson from Black Flag, The Descendents, All is a huge fanatic and he has played with them in the last years. They rerecorded some old songs in 2013 and published a fantastic album called Danger. Their first record LA Explosion is pure gold, but not available on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/track/7sWzfA9exPBOzoabXH96rs?si=NSxtYTr-RtC0w6-wzzY9kw
