I guess since I have a fan token already this doesn’t affect me per se. But I find I don’t earn much Moxie these days which is fine.
Congratulations to all holders of Degen and the makers of Degen. Explaining to my wife tonight that we can soon retire based on Warpcast tips I have received and no longer need a 401K denominated in useless fiat.
“This should have been Europe’s war to manage. In spite of decades of discussion about European defence, it proved too convenient to rely on US largesse. This made Europe a prisoner of US electoral factors. It also caused Europe to shirk the difficult decisions that helping win the war entailed: the big increases in defence expenditure, the 24-hour working in ammunition factories, the hikes in food and energy costs and the political risks such as seizing frozen assets. What remains now for Europe is to secure a place at the negotiating table and to argue for NATO membership for Ukraine as part of any settlement.”

This bird is the master of gamification of learning. He taught me Cyrillic alphabet in literally 48 hours and kept me motivated throughout. True software W.
This is such a monumental change in human relations. I don’t even know whether it’s good or bad it’s just incredible to witness such a revolution play out in front of us.
It’s interesting how much money people in tech have and how trivial it seems to be raise such money. In my world with the exception of a handful of elites and trust fund kid types nobody has any money and it’s a constant struggle to find resources to fund reporting, including reporting that is very popular.
This is beautiful. Raspberries in Ukraine and Poland are fantastic by the way.
I’m having a huge problem like many others right now as there isn’t an obvious replacement. I’ve recently just gone back to looking at the NYT front page for the first time in 15 years.
I think the single worst way to be informed is by reading Tweets that claim to explain the whole story of anything. Its like a simulacrum of learning something because its purporting to give you news but its just like consuming slop for your brain that leaves you worse off.
Twitter is also shifting to an engagement based model of rewarding people with payouts. So now if you subscribe to Twitter Blue and those people interact with you it results in cash accruing. I will take a look but I wonder how this could possibly be net profitable for the company.
I’m earning less Moxie from my posts. Did the Moxie algorithm changed or did I get cancelled from Moxie?
I’m going to teach myself the Cyrillic alphabet so I can get around better when I’m Ukraine in future and other Slavic countries. Should only take a day or two.

Thanks for all the people sending me Degen lately or subscribing to me on @microsub with Degen. It really hits a lot harder to get tipped now that Degen is worth millions of dollars.

I need to revisit how I can tip as well I seem to have screwed that up earlier.
Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi was in Saudi Arabia signing agreements with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan. After years of hostility the two countries have endeavored to bury the hatchet of late and rebuild ties. This rapprochement was brokered in part with China acting as an intermediary since it has ties with both sides.
While I was in Ukraine I noticed that the price of Degen and Moxie increased quite a bit. This is the power of solidarity. 🇺🇦 Ⓜ️
Hello Farcaster friends. I’m back after spending the last ten days on assignment in Ukraine. I was very moved by the struggle of the Ukrainian people to fight for their independence, as well as their toughness, warmth and humor.

It was quite dangerous at times and it is really not a joke to be in eastern Ukraine but I will definitely be coming back in future as I felt an emotional attachment to the people and place.

I hope Americans will also at least consider the struggle of these good people when deciding their own elections next month as the result will have an impact on them.

I encourage those who can to visit Ukraine and especially fellow Europeans whose solidarity they really need and appreciate. I will share more pictures later.
After realizing the damage of its disastrous one-child policy the Chinese government is now trying to harass and harangue women into having as many children as possible: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/08/world/asia/china-women-children-abortions.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare&sgrp=c-cb
Turkmenistan has the best flag of any country. Very noble color tones and also unique with the Persian carpet-esque ornamentation. The country is a bit marginal so you rarely see it but it’s excellent.
