Soy víctima de mi propio designio. Desde que comencé mi incierta carrera en esto de los NFT y la Web3.0, hace poco mas de 3 años, siempre me burlaba de que CADA evento era proclamado como La Primera [inserte cualquier cosa] crypto, Web3.0, o lo que sea, pero la primera.

Ahora, con la Feria Nounish, me doy un disparo en el pie, cerrando el ciclo y dándome cuenta de la importancia de nombrar las cosas por su nombre, del poder del conjuro. Decir que es "La primera feria Nounish" significa mucho más que la medallita de llegar primero: es la promesa de que no será la última.

Been putting in the work to bring some real personality to @ferianounish! Created a character that interacts with posts in different poses to keep things as dynamic as possible. Huge shoutout to @lowbrow for helping with the graphic design!

This week I built the foundation and pre-production for the project that won the grant from /nouns-amigos, @ferianounish. I’ve been working on the visual identity for the event and developing a character that will interact with our social media posts. These are some sketches. Any feedback is deeply appreciated.

After the bitter defeat of my proposal to add the abacus head, I returned to my roots and submitted a proposal for the /nouns-amigos grants, and it's doing pretty well in votes! I'm genuinely excited to keep contributing to this community and continue spreading the nounish vibe whenever I can! It's been a night-and-day change for me to participate in these communities where I’ve learned so much. Hey everyone! 👋 I'm Nadie, a digital artist and 2D generalist from Cali, Colombia, with over 15 years of experience in digital illustration. I studied visual arts for six semesters before switching paths and graduating with a degree in social communication from Universidad del Valle in 2022. My work focuses on character design, storytelling, and recently, I’ve been diving deeper into animation and pixel art. 🎥✨

A significant part of my artistic journey has been my character Masita, who has evolved alongside me and represents the simplicity and strong expressiveness that I aim to achieve in my work.

I started my journey with Nouns through the /nouns-amigos community last year, and now I even have a live proposal to accept votes for the grants in snapshot. Since April 2024, I’ve participated in over 150 /rounds within the /nouns community. The collaborative and creative energy of Nouns has kept me motivated to push my artistic limits and explore new ways of visual expression. 🎨

This week I built a prop for the /nouns-amigos grants to bring a cultural event to life in Cali, focused on inclusion and creative expression. 🎨✨

The title of my artwork, Los Más Capitos, is a play on words in Spanish. While más capitos means ‘the most clever or smart ones,’ it sounds almost identical to masca pitos, which translates to ‘pee pee biter’ in English. It’s a funny double meaning that might not be obvious to non-Spanish speakers, but that’s the joke behind it!
