Nuclear power was killed for weapon control. Nuclear power is going to be brought back from the dead not to fight for climate change but because data centers are starving for more power. The irony is palpable.
Stakers are often unwilling system administrators. I'm one of them. I want to stake not administer my systems. It's still part of the job. In any case, you should know there is currently a potentially severe security issue affecting a wide range of *nix systems.
VSCode (VSCodium) is for dumb and lazy devs like me. It actually shows shortcut hints instead of a blank screen when you don't have any document opened. Don't try to sway me towards (neo)vim. I'm too scared I won't be able to quit.
EthStaker and a few members from our community has been working hard on revitalizing the original staking-deposit-cli tool into a new fork called ethstaker-deposit-cli. We've got great news coming up in the next few days and weeks. Watch this space. https://github.com/eth-educators/ethstaker-deposit-cli
Who needs more visibility in the Ethereum staking community?
Don't ask for the best. Ask for what's good for you.
The famous genie story where you get your wishes but there are a tone of unintended consequences as a result of those wishes, the "Monkey's Paw" story, is truly a magnificient way of explaining many modern realities. Be careful what you wish for is probably is good daily reminder. Name one recent convenience we got and it's horrific way. I'll start.
I've got great news! I just looked at ETH price and we are above the value from the last time I checked 😉
Weight lost or gain is mostly a function of what you eat in terms of quantity and quality. Physical exercise is still important for health. Calories in and out is relevant but your body is consuming about the same amount on average everyday no matter what. TIL
How do you frontrun a malicious actor who has access to the private key of your wallet on Ethereum mainnet knowing that funds will be transferred to your wallet ahead of time? Asking for a staker who needs support.
The Windows Recall feature isn't inherently bad. It's potential for being good or bad is simply huge which is concerning. I predict will have some kind of AI tool that will record everything we do sooner rather than later with various degree of *bad* stuff happening along the way.
Prediction markets are awesome. They make keeping large secrets expensive.
Thank you for your support on Gitcoin Grants!
OVHcloud is a great hosting provider for staking on Ethereum. I just wrote a quick blog post on this. This is very high level. https://paragraph.xyz/@ethstaker/securing-the-ethereum-protocol-using-ovhcloud
How much time are you spending maintaining your node? I'd say it's around 15-30 minutes per month for me.
Make sure to fill out our survey if you are staking on Ethereum: https://stakinglandscape.limesurvey.net/748278

I don't get people moving and travelling hundreds of kilometers to watch the eclipse. The best pictures will be everywhere in the media.
You can often recover a lot of free disk space by resyncing your consensus client. This is especially true if you have not performed a resync in a while. It takes 2-5 minutes using a checkpoint sync endpoint.
The Three-Body Problem (Remembrance of Earth's Past) series is a great story on paper or on screen with the recent launch of Benioff & Weiss TV series. Check it out.
Here are some charts of network traffic on one of my Ethereum node in the past 30 days. This is interesting to compare traffic before and after Dencun which happened on March 13th. There seems to be a slight average increase on the recv side (green).
I'm proud of all the stakers who updated on time for the Dencun fork. The participation rate bearly dropped at the time of the fork. The network is strong 💪
This is almost free ETH being given here.
