Gen art friends - a question.

What does the range of an algorithm mean to you when collecting a piece?
gm. Consistency within a vast range of outputs is being achieved. I can stare at these all day and night.

First tracking training. Beautiful evening and he’s a natural 🦌🐶
gn. Tonight is for composition tweaking.

Algorithmic art is sometimes the art of making sense of a vast space and finding meaning within the random. What do I want to convey and how do I ensure it comes through in an entire series generated by chance?
Is it a law of nature that artists are or become procrastinators? Maybe it’s the backside of the coin from spending a lot of time meditating and pondering? 🤔

Lean in and smell the pixels.
From the print archives.
Wouldn’t be a Tengil artwork without Oskar. 🧡
gn. The balance of colour, negative space and composition within a single algorithm is one of the more challenging and rewarding aspects of generative art and giving in to chance.
Living in the present and enjoying these framed prints.
Anything with rich n rick is just fantastic 🤩
This guy turned 1 👑🤩 please wish him a happy birthday 🎂

Simple rules, surprising and captivating results.

I’ve been spending the last months finding my voice and direction of my artistic practice. What you see here is the result.

A digital naturalism, embracing the evergreen, timeless learnings of nature in a generative manner.
Sometimes the joy of computer generated art is just to let go and see where the code takes you 🫣
Texture study in nature and exploration in code. Where do you usually find inspiration?
I keep coming back to prints. They’re so, “not digital” for lack of a better term. But they’re also such an amazing vessel for consuming art in a more eye friendly environment that they cannot be ignored.

Gen arters, tell me, what makes you go for more or less texture / tactility in your works?
