I don’t enjoy phones as cameras from a tactile sense but there is an immediacy I appreciate. The best camera is the one you have. Forcing myself away from perfectionist tendencies by focusing on the perfectly imperfect. My AI glitch is no different in this regard. Anyway I took a photo of a fallen tree knocking over a fence.
Art doesn’t care what you think of it. The artist might. While we collectively race to the lowest common denominator having taken architecture for instance to its most-boring pre-fab minimalist hell, aiart is not only stealing your low-tier jobs but also recklessly engaging in maximalist abandon. What is this? Glitch? Post-anthropocentric fashion through the lens of object oriented ontology? Or just too lazy to tweak settings to converge to something we’ve all seen before a million times.
Trying to reevaluate to what extent social media makes sense in my life anymore. I feel like I’m nurturing a phantom limb or a vestigial organ or something. I think I wanted community at one point but it doesn’t feel like that.
Haven’t been making any new art. Still have plenty of new to you art. I’m trying to build something useful with AI as a force multiplier. Feels pretty dumb to have kept making so much art when I could have been doing this all along. Art is where my heart is but primarily helps keep myself sane above all.
