How it should be...

I have an amazing idea- let’s have another land rush. Give away all the federal land in lottery to people who don’t own land 1 lot per family. Maybe you could win. Any left could be given to people who only own one they live in, and no cheating.

It's quite easy to use statistics to show that things are better than they have ever been...but they are not. Statistics lie. Politicians lie. Bankers lie. People in power lie to preserve their power (or increase it). Things are not better than they have ever been. I speak the truth. It's fine if you want to send me money.

Paywalls lead to me unsubscribing from email lists and moving the emails that come to my spam folder. If I sign up for your content, you can market to me as long as the content is free. I suppose if the content brings value to me it may be worth paying, but that would also mean that I would expect no marketing and for my email to not be shared.

I'm ready for a black swan - not because I am prepared but because I am bored.

It seems to me that Trump will pick Vivek R. as his VP. It also seems to me that Biden losing is a given. The DNC could upend the race by nominating someone younger and perceived as dynamic such as the Governor of California. No matter the race or the outcome. Things are not looking good for the USA.

At this point, I mostly find the internet neither fun nor interesting. If it were 1998 and I looked at it, I would think - "I'm going to go outside and find some friends at the corner coffee shop to kick the hackysack or go play disc golf or go to a poetry open mic or maybe drop by and see a friend" but now all those people are also stuck being bored and looking at their addictive devices. Yes, I see it.
