here we have a wild (untethered) Rai; these are massive sabertooth-like creatures that roam the Plains of Rai (region 2). the indigenous Jo'pi peoples, who are 7-foot tall humanoids with neon-blueish eyes and a knack for archery, have evolved next to these beasts. as such, they can tether (align their anima) with Rai to form a life-long sacred bond. while this makes them lethal in times of war, if their Rai falls sick or passes, the tethered Jo'pi often commit sacred suicide alongside their Rai as the pain of living without them is just far too great.
