hi 👋

Azuki bought anime .com, reminds me of when sushiswap bought sushi .com
I went for a bike ride this afternoon and the clouds were beautiful, so I snapped a pic with this stamp store in the foreground. People would traditionally have stamps with their family name that they would use for official documents. These are mostly no longer used, but my dad had to get a stamp made when creating a bank account in Japan last year. We still have a long way to go in bringing the world onchain.

I’m lucky to have gotten to come to Japan every year, but it’s always bittersweet when it’s time to leave as I will be in a few days. https://zora.co/collect/zora:0xfe04561a0e6131102353d55b7273af3efa8018de/4?referrer=0x120231375b8904cb038f268668ec0334f7d9ca81
In all the debates on blockchain design I listen to, the topics of sovereignty and decentralization of governance rarely come up, I think we should be talking about them more.
Richard Teng, CEO of Binance, gave a presentation at webx in Tokyo, saying very little of substance just typical talking points. My intuition is that he’s just a front man, CZ is still in charge (CZ is the chairman of the board).
- Registered yogic.base.eth

今日は根津神社行ってきました。
Nezu Shrine, Tokyo
Cities are so much more fun when there are exciting shrines/temples/gardens to explore. In Tokyo there are easily thousands.
I made an Instagram after deleting it 10+ years ago. Reason is, that these days, I travel a lot and I mostly feel like posting out of context pictures from my life, and disappearing 'stories' posts are really the best format for these kinds of posts. Another plus is that I meet lots of cool people on the road and most of them are on ig, so it lets me stay in touch with them. So follow me there @winthertamaki
On a side note, I took a look at Facebook after ages of not using it, and I can't believe how it's become completely overrun with AI content to the point it almost looks like Facebook has embraced it and is promoting it. Maybe that's what's awaiting ig in which case...
護国寺 Temple for the Protection of the Nation (Tokyo, Japan)
お久しぶりTokyo, it’s good to be back 🎌
Israeli music slaps, it's sad I can't say that without it being interpreted as a political statement.
It takes extremely refined taste to appreciate legionnaire hats. Sorry 🎩 enjoyers
I’ve been maintaining a “streak” since it started a month ago, but I think I’ll stop it here. I don’t particularly enjoy it.
Be grateful for the well intentioned friends that push you to do something they think is good for you even if they were wrong.
Is Chainlink really all that it’s cracked up to be or does it hide its centralization and points of failure under its complex design?
Sublime bike ride in the Dutch countryside, enjoying the breeze of the brisk morning air
Relocated a little bird that was sitting in the middle of the road.
I had heard somewhere that horses sleep standing up, though I’m not sure what this one is doing.

Susumu Hirasawa (平沢進) produced soundtracks for the Berserk anime as well as works by Satoshi Kon. It’s a unique sound and very cool. https://youtu.be/xgNqRJTw6WY?feature=shared

Kurosawa’s masterpiece Dersu Uzala is on YouTube. Apparently the Soviet studio that produced the film wanted Mifune Toshiro to star as Dersu, but luckily Maxim was cast. He speaks Russian and does a great job (the movie is in Russian)
