It’s been a year since I put myself in the game at ETHRome 2023.
I remember I didn't know what "package.json" was! Ahah

Last weekend I won ETHRome 2024. The journey came to a full circle, leaving me with an undescribable emotion and satisfaction.

I can't foresee the future, but I feel I'm just getting started 🔥

We crushed StageHack @ MIT! After a weekend of hacking, composing, troubleshooting and tweaking until the last minute, we pulled it off. Our two dancers performed four pieces of music dynamically created by their movements! And we won TWO awards — The "thehacktrical" award and the "standing ovation" award!!
Plugging away at this interactive music. Our stack is Ableton, Supercollider, StreamDiffusion with a camera and 2 Kinects connected to TouchDesigner.
... and it's over!
@ethwarsaw was a success! 🔥

With @deca12x and @alexastro I built Cherry 🍒, a mobile friendly web app to help builders meet each other, work together and also send money through the integrated chat.

A couple of weeks ago I was awarded 3rd place in the Onchain Bear Cage contest hosted by @socialgraphvc and won 2000 USDC for Farcastles in huge part thanks to the love I received from the community (and totally not for my terrible performance haha).

To return the favor and hopefully inspire more action in our budding ecosystem, I am giving all of the winnings away in the first Farcastles Hackathon.

See more details in the quoted cast below.

we built Flux, a crypto-friendly checkout infra for businesses, inspired by stripe

next time you're adding paid features to your app, set it up on flux, get paid in usdc then offramp to your bank account 🫡

3 and a half hours of sleep on a real bed is something i had yet to try at a hackathon.
Crazy sleep this time. 100/100
@ethwarsaw 🇵🇱
any interesting hackathon that you will be building next? could be also non/IRL
I’d take hackathon workshops over traditional computer science education any day.

WalletConnect and Coinbase currently have a virtual hackathon going on, would love to see some farcaster devs projects win 🔥$50k in prizes https://x.com/WalletConnect/status/1812889167921361184
Can confirm, virtual hackathons are AMAZING for focused learning and experimentation.

In-person hackathons (especially.
those running in parallel to a conference or side event) tend to force you into a dilemma of whether to spend that valuable time networking and developing IRL friendships instead.

HOW TO FAIL AT A HACKATHON

This @ethglobal Brussels Hackathon was different.

I was a mentor for the first time and I absolutely love the experience.

Here's a thread of the 7 biggest problems teams face and how to overcome them.

Spoiler alert: The problems weren't technical.
