Farcaster mini-apps are a new design space for games and stories.
They’re fast, native, and personal.
Fell the Dragon is one of the first roguelike games built for this format.
This thread is a quick tour of what the game is, how it plays, and why I’m so excited to share it with you.

FARCASTLES: CHAPTER FOURTEEN – THE SOUND BENEATH
The silence wasn’t silent.
The battle was over, but the ground still whispered. The air tasted like stone dust and old blood, thick with something that hadn’t yet decided to let them go.
Gellon stumbled.
Not from fatigue—but because his side gave way. He hissed and dropped to one knee, clutching under his ribs. Sarra was there in an instant, catching him before he fell completely.
“Myrr,” she snapped.
Myrr moved fast, hands already glowing faintly with lightless symbols. They pressed a palm to Gellon’s wound. He flinched hard, but said nothing.
“It’s not clean,” Myrr said quietly.
“Poison?”
“No. Deeper. The mark isn’t just carved. it’s... echoing.”
Gellon gave a crooked grin through gritted teeth. “Echoing? Lovely. Will it start humming tunes next?”
Myrr didn’t smile. “It’s remembering. That thing left more than a cut.”
“Can he move?” Sarra asked.
“Barely. But yes.”
“Then we move.”

Is there even a competition?

FARCASTLES: CHAPTER THIRTEEN – THE SHATTERING GROUND
The first clash rang out like a bell cracking.
Sarra met the lead deserter mid-sprint—her blade a streak of iron wind. Steel shrieked against steel, then tore through it. The man fell without a sound, and his shadow didn’t follow him.
Torv flowed to her flank, striking low, fast. The second attacker crumpled from a blow he never saw. Ern stood frozen a moment longer.
Then the ground groaned again.
The rift behind them widened. From the pit, something surged—not a creature, not yet, but a presence, like breath behind stone. Heat that didn’t warm. Light that didn’t shine.
Myrr raised both hands. Glyphs flared in their palms. The stones around the sealed site buckled upward into jagged walls, catching arrows in flight. Myrr shouted a word that sounded like wind breaking over bone.

Mini apps are really cool. But imho, builders should strongly consider going all in on bots. Arguably, the most successful apps on Farcaster have been clanker and bankr. Both are bot-as-an-app's with simple use cases. Sure, build a mini app also, but embedding your app directly into the social flow will be the winner
Question for my Farcasters:
