no agenda. meanwhile: - talk about what hardware tinkering you have been upto - share if you find anything interesting, fun - ask for help if you are stuck on something - be curious

Recently listened to a keynote by yenchoi.twitter on how Africa has fallen far far behind the rest of the world in semiconductor tech.

I really haven't heard anyone else talk about this, let alone propose a solution 👀

I'm keeping an eye on what they are doing at ChipLab.net
I would love to start a /battlebots tournament (or sth like it) at my local university 😃

As a hardware guy from a 3rd world country, I see Battle bots as a potential medium to ignite passion for hardware here, to begin inspiring a generation of makers & hardware devs that could change the country's story altogether
Meta is overlooking that they’re increasingly incentivized to impair people’s vision
this is super sad. AnandTech was a huge part of my early years. i would read all the reviews, performance metrics, and subscribe to new posts over an RSS feed when cool things were released.

i miss this kind of independent internet.

Someone is asking abt investing in ETH L1 native hw… seems dead end; like the BTC kids had their mining rig moment then operators ran to AWS
starlink is so cool i wish i had an excuse to buy one 😞
Another week to go build the future 🧑‍💻
we got organic and in-organic quadrupeds at our office :)

training the quadruped robotic dog to do x 🥷

robotics is the hardest multi-domain problem i have worked on, you can quickly lose the motivation, if you don’t push through.
neurosity co-founder randomly posting a new neural interface on his twitter

it looks like an upgraded interface from the neurosity crown.

love this form factor, cypherpunk-ish too.
my Epomaker mechanical keyboard needs a mechanical mouse buddy; what y’all got?
We got this working in a remote village in Nigeria,
😃 guys, P2P energy is now as real as P2P money

we are just getting started 🚀

🤓 Putting it all together.
New /depin about to go live guys.

Stay tuned for more 😉
How it started, vs how it's going 🤓

(hardware is hard) 😮‍💨
THE most insane place on the planet for people in hw and electronics.

you can almost find anything, here, all at once.

they not only have electronic parts supply, but they also have:

- wholesale bulk buying
- ICs
- freight forwarding cos
- repair shops

duh.

@blrxzo team have setup a residential hardware hackathon in Bangalore.

~14 fellows will hack on hardware projects for 7 straight days.

finish mini quests in the process of completing the prototype.

in-house mentors to guide you through, when required.

workshops/talks from hardware co. founders, meet & greet.
i have picked up on tl-verilog after watching @splinedrive (from twitter) build his risc-v cpu on an FPGA and boot linux on it.

starting with basic circuits like a full adder.

i also managed to build a:
- calculator (add, sub, prod, div)
- fibonacci sequence calculator using flip-flops
Worth it? 🤔

I9KF, 4090, 96GB, 4TB SSD, on a Z790D5 Ultra motherboard.

My mind is in 2019 prices when I bought my last desktop, and this looks like a steal.
Hanging out with the boards, getting to know each other.
Making great /depin 🤓
Logitech GHub just stopped responding, and it messed up my DPI and RR/PS. I realized how crazy used to I am to 1400:500. 🤯 I can't work on other settings.
testing kde plasma desktop environment on raspberry pi.

to enable any desktop environment in any linux based os or derivates,

you need to:

- add an x11 based display server which deals with input (keyboard, mouse, etc) and display peripherals

- add display manager to deal with login screens and start sessions
hey folks, just wanted to have a channel for hardware.

so i created one.

there’s no agenda for this channel atm, we will how it goes.

meanwhile, share:

- what hardware tinkering you have been upto
- share if you find anything interesting, fun
- reach out for help here if you are stuck on something
