Maybe my worst writing for /firstdraft (real ironic) because I'm tired and it's getting late and I don't wanna be up all night. I had a different topic in mind but it was going to take way too long to write b4 the deadline, so I threw this together:

For /firstdraft I've been challenging myself to write different forms of writing than I usually do. Last week was short semi-fiction. This week, I tried poetry (or as best I could muster for it). It truly was a challenge (and a struggle). Here it is, my 1st poems:

Part of making a change to my /mentalhealth has been stealing back confidence from fear. I sang for the 1st time in front of people in almost 25 years (elementary school). I don't care if I'm good, but I wanna be able to do it. I wrote about the experience:

Ultimately, almost nothing feels better than helping another person. It's a selfish motivation, but I think still a valuable selfless act. If you don't want to help others for their sake, help them for your own. It will be worth it for all involved.

Split a bottle of wine and had 2 beers last night and I'm feeling it this morning. Idk how I ever survived the heavy college party days. Couldn't imagine waking up and having a go at it again today. Grateful I grew outta that phase of life, this shit kinda sucks haha

I havent done much long-form writing in a long time. But I've got a few topics I want to work through and I think the best way might be to write them out. Will share my writing when I finish them.

Honestly maybe most jealous or in awe of people who seem like they've found their purpose/calling and are joyful in that path. Dream of the day I can wake up and not wonder what the point of it all is or where to put my energy.

One thing I wish was a more prevalent concept in the United States is taking a gap year after high school. I wish I would have taken one and taken some time before diving into debt for a major I never used.

Who wants to open a crypto/surf hostel in bitcoin beach (el zonte)? That's like the life-long dream.
