Two weeks ago, we started implementing our plan to increase liquidity on Uniswap.
So far, we have brought $58.7k worth of $WXM, and we have used it to increase the 0.3% WXM/WETH liquidity pool. We are happy with how this goes, and we also realized that the funds reserved for the program will last for more much longer than the 43 days we originally planed for.

Flooding in Europe, September 2024.
Our weather station network captured signs of flooding across parts of Europe during the period of 8-18 September 2024, with extreme rainfall affecting several regions.
But it's not just about showing rainfall –it’s about reliable, high-quality data. The stations you see in this map passed our strict quality checks. All stations with outlier behavior were filtered out, giving us a clean, accurate map of accumulated precipitation –crucial for understanding the severe weather impact. In regions like Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia, we recorded an astonishing 170-200mm of total rainfall over the span of just a week, contributing to widespread flooding.
Why is this important?
By understanding weather patterns in such detail, we can now build better weather models and improve forecasting for extreme weather events like this.

In the next few months, WeatherXM will deploy 2,270 weather stations in the Global South. This is an ambitious undertaking with the potential to make the WeatherXM Network an irreplaceable part of the global weather infrastructure, and at the same time improve the lives of people in poorer communities around the world.

Around 40 of our Pulse (WB3000) weather stations have been deployed at the #ParisOlympics2024.
These stations are monitoring weather conditions at select venues, allowing athletes, officials and other stakeholders to be continuously informed of the environmental conditions in areas of interest and especially close to the field of play.

Our first station deployed in Xochimilco, Mexico by SensorETA.
Mexico City faces a well-known water crisis. Less known is that Xochimilco, (a UNESCO World Heritage site south of Mexico City) is sinking, largely due to this crisis.
Weather data collected by this station, along with others to be deployed, will help farmers, gardeners, and boat owners in Xochimilco make informed decisions about the ongoing drought issues.
Xochimilco’s water level faces two major problems: the drought conditions affecting much of the country and the practice of pumping water out of Xochimilco to support the city’s growing population, only to pump back in “treated” water.
We can bring more stations to underserved areas like Xochimilco and help local farmers prevent losses caused by weather conditions and absence of quality weather data.

Eastern Europe saw an early start of warm period with continuous heatwaves and temperatures in the Balkans climbing to the high 30s and even exceeding 40°C!
Typically, when Southeastern Europe experiences warm and dry conditions, Northwestern Europe tends to be cooler and wetter. However, this time Paris, for example, stayed near the climatic average, while stations in Athens recorded temperatures were almost consistently 1-9°C above average!
Building long-term time series is crucial for understanding climate patterns worldwide. It’s vital that weather stations remain in the same location to 'map' the climate of every single location, a factor we do consider in our reward processes.
