Ran a marathon last weekend-legs fine the next day. Did 35 minutes of single leg body weight strength yesterday…legs rekt today.
I really need to get stronger.

Once a reply guy….always a reply guy..so it seems
Would be cool to have an all time leaderboard on receipts.
Haven’t casted in a while…ran first Mara on Sunday and snapped this shweet boat while jogging this fine morn.
Just discovered the streaks on receipts….pretty cool. Late but glad I arrived…
Bit late to post this…but hey. The start to 2025 has been the worst I have felt in years…but perhaps 2024 kind of explains why.
Last trail race of the year. It was a goodie.
Still feels good.
GM. 2 hours of trail and tar.
Ran a trail race on the weekend, which I haven’t done in a very long time. It was a short snappy 16km route. Well it had a 6km climb at the start…got the W. Which was very nice.
Every person who finished the Cape Town Marathon in a pair of adidas, was given a pair of Pro 3’s. 🤯.
Or you could choose Boston 12s. Naturally I went with the AP3s.

And there it is. Work in. Work out.
Charts are looking Bullish for Cape Town Marathon in two weeks. The goal pace is finally feeling realistic. It has taken a lot of long speed work sessions to get to this point.
Another quality marathon specific session in the bag…the niggles are holding as niggles.
Some sharpening coming up. Hold you M’fing niggles, hold!

It was a busy week last wee. This week looking much the same.
The idea with the progression long run is to run at goal pace when you are already tired, getting the body and mind prepped to be hurting but still moving at a good clip.
It works. The last 10km took a lot of focus, but it has built the confidence.

Building towards that marathon pace…it ain’t easy being breezy…
And this is what it looks like. Can very much recommend this at any pace bracket.
Also the AP3s are 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼.

Off for my first Canova session. Don’t worry I didn’t know what it was either: WU then 14 x 1km alternating under and over marathon pace. (7 hard 7 less hard). CD.
Also new Adios Pro 3s got me feeling pretty excited.

Finally got my legs back. 6 x 1500m @ around 3:30/km pace. Plus for the last one I finally ran a mile attempt for @tombornal …managed a 5:30. (This was all on road, pavements, crossings etc. but early morning so not too busy)
Had me at fucking electric…
