i took this photo because it illustrates this perfectly. if you look closely, the person is literally separated from the rest of the world by a fence. behind them, in those buildings, there are thousands of stories and people living their lives, but he remains disconnected from that world. Perhaps not by choice, but because the world is built to keep us isolated, in a forced solitude we never asked for.
