I had a family dinner recently and lots of ideas were thrown around including corp price gauging, supply chain issues, etc. I’ve always been convinced it is primarily money printing / inflation.

OpenSea should become a Farcaster client. Rich social graph data would seriously uplevel different product surfaces. Would be another well-funded company and one that’s desktop-first
Always fun to revisit these things. I thought it was going to be short term positive and long term negative. Feels like the opposite is true. Short term it killed the market and made financial nihilism the thing. Long term, the ‘cultural’ deregulating of coins allowing for more experimentation and likely net new mechanisms.
i was wrong on two dimensions:
- how much of a game of hot potatoe all non-btc coins are (sparse liquidity)
- how fast we can go from meta to meta, regardless of the meta. ie chillguy or financial nihilism, “that too shall pass”

What’s the latest and greatest apps to try on the AI front? I’m currently using chatgpt daily and nothing else.
Bits of feedback:
- use color to let me know how a prop is doing. ie i should be able to tell if a prop is default passing/failing at a glance
- big indicator to show prop ask ($). “never hide six figures behind a tap”
- pwa notifs (or even red alert on app) to show me that i need to vote on x number of props
- more game feel, less work feel

I think a lot of people are going to appreciate Nouns just a little more as the current shitcoin meta (continues) to die out.
Ephemeral tokens are fun but ultimately empty. Nouns is almost four years old and still has a thriving community of incredible people worldwide. Projects w staying power are extremely rare.

pre crypto algos are ad driven. they value all attention equally leading to lowest-common-denominator, primal slop.

Chain wars are weird. On the one hand, if a product is good, it makes no sense that the underlying chain would matter. On the other hand, there are clear cultural differences between users of chains.
