The home for art collectors to discuss trends & share experiences collecting

Launched on BrainDrops today: Canyon (8) from the A Journey of Samurai collection by Raja Nandepu
In my opinion, New Realities by @infiniteyay is one of the best AI art collections of the year. The level of detail and intricacies of each piece is incredible.

After missing the initial mint 🤦‍♂️ on BrainDrops I finally collected "Just Taking A Look Around"
I agree with @giancarlo's take here - there is a huge opportunity for meme creators to increasingly monetize onchain.

All of the AI Art hate only makes it clearer how important of an art category it is becoming
Did not realize Ringers' floor was in the teens 👀
Prediction: this will go down as one of the top early AI 🤖 Base exhibitions

Lineup is stacked
There are many 1/1 art grails at bargain prices right now if you know where to look
Here's to all the AI art haters out there
Memory #214 from Memories of an Exhibition by Benjamin Bardou
So much great AI art being released this week:

- Taming the Machine exhibition by @fellowship yesterday
- Benjamin Bardou’s Memories of an Exhibition tomorrow on BrainDrops
NFT auctions have the unique ability to become a spectacle - almost like a live gameshow. I think we'll be seeing more and more of this especially on L2s.
Hypothesis: The so called "L1 premium", which I believe is a transient collector preference as it pertains to NFTs, will create a window where high quality L2 NFTs will be underpriced. Once consensus sentiment shifts to treating L2 as a first-class citizen, L2 NFTs will become correctly priced.
The bulk of art collectors invest their time and capital in narratives they have high conviction in - this is what I’m bullish on:

- AI art (incl. video)
- AI long-form art
- Blue chip gen art
- Mass-minted / networked collections (> 1mm mints)
No new edition of The Art Collector this week - we are cooking up some exciting changes that we'll be sharing soon ☺️
Are memes art? I think so, because they have the following in common with art:
- They make you feel something
- They are culturally relevant
- They bring like-minded people together
Dencun will supercharge collecting on L2s. Maybe not so much among web3-natives, but absolutely for future users that will be onboarding this year.
Leaving this week’s The Art Collector in the very capable hands of @maxwell.

Edition #5 launches tomorrow 🤗

Really believe this collection will become a very widely recognized, notable collection. Grateful to own a work from it.
Interesting article that looks at two AI collections from an investment lens. I personally think both of these are bargains at their current price points.

Feeling like this is the perfect time to buy art with the latest memecoin craze temporarily shifting attention
