Years ago, I watched 'Electroma' by Daft Punk, and today I recall this fantastic film; a fascinating piece of experimental cinema. It offers a unique, almost meditative experience. It's a visually driven, wordless narrative that explores themes of identity, transformation, and alienation. Surprisingly, the soundtrack is not by Daft Punk but instead features a range of different tracks that enhance the film's melancholy mood, adding to its contemplative tone. You need to be patient, as the film is slow and feels more like a journey through an existential struggle than a traditional plot. But as an art film, 'Electroma' is a bold conceptual work that speaks to ideas of self, change, and the limits of technology, mirroring some of the philosophical questions Daft Punk has always explored in their music. In Fatal Meningitis (1995), Serrano captures and portrays the individual instances of death with a capital 'D'. The calm aesthetic of the composition makes us think twice about leaving the dead alone. I'm interested in searching for "reality" and also creating my own by making connections with my experiences. This photo reflects not only the departure of someone who is just beginning a life but also the flashing of a roaring and painful reality.
