Hey all, Iβve decided to sunset automod.
Channels are changing and Automod needs to adapt to work well with the new design. I like the new direction for channels and think it makes the right trade offs but it requires major changes and a renewed commitment that donβt make sense for me at this point.
Real quickly:
- Automod will run until the changes go into effect.
- All remaining subscription time will be refunded.
- Automod is now open source with APIs to port moderation configurations.
Iβve worked on automod nearly everyday for the past 7 months. Iβm proud of it and thankful to everyone who gave it a shot.

I don't have a good sense for what should be the minimum score on FarRank or OpenRank to weed out spambots and yet not exclude legitimate users (mostly because I don't know what the statistical distribution of ranks looks like).
Any empirical guidance you can share on a reasonable threshold?

@jtgi when these messed up scam posts push through @automod and 99% of everything else has to be pushed with curate action how do these spam scammers push their content to be likes? How can it be fixed?
