When did you hire your first employee? Feels risky to me to hire someone else until you have a nice cushion revenue wise
non-technical /bootstrapped founders – how did you find a dev?
I think the best thing about being /bootstrapped is that I enjoy the financial constraints. I believe this makes me sharper and faster, and allows me to scope down ideas out of budget.

There's an assumption that more VC funding means moving faster and burning faster, but I think it takes a special type of person to be able to spend effectively.
Very excited to have found my own mentor via mentorship program last Friday. Took a few weeks to find the right fit, but I think this one will work out well, their skill sets are very complimentary to mine

Other than network access, I think one of the biggest downsides of not having investors is the lack of critical feedback

Founder friend of mine is always shocked when I question the feasibility of some of their idea, they apparently have no-one challenging them 🤷
The real reason I went the bootstrap route is to avoid spending 50% of my time doing monthly investor updates
I called 10+ grant agencies in Canada for my startup but they all told me they won’t help with applications until I have enough revenue 😭

Any secret org I should know about?
