I printed a puzzle on my wrapping paper for my customers but unfortunately the wrapping paper didn’t print well :(. $200 loss for me today. I couldn’t print samples since my MOQ was so low so I took a chance on it.
I will still use it, because it’s wasteful not to, but am thoroughly disappointed. 🥲

I’m painting poker chips with the blackest black paint in the world. They’re not quite dry yet but this is the first coat.
For a few months now I’ve wanted to do an art project with a poker set but I was having trouble thinking of themes. The theme of the set is stolen colours.
Since anish kapoor (the guy who made the bean in Chicago) patented vantablack for his exclusive use, another artist Stuart Semple got mad and made a competitor, “the blackest black in the world”, which I have here. This is the first layer, I will be doing more layers after this first layer dries. Stuart steals colours from other artists and corporations and sells them to consumers like me.
I also have Klein blue, which I will be using shortly after I finish with the blackest black in the world.

my head is about to explode from work so i spent a little more money doing things less efficiently (shipping fragrances separately) and im gonna just paint and chill tonight 😮💨

There are times when I’m all by myself doing things that the customer would never see or appreciate and it makes me think “holy shit, I’m really in the sauce”.
Like shaving me and my business partners’ knuckles for the photoshoot, and washing my industrial baking pans in my tub because my sink is too small. But these little moments make it all more special because I have them all to myself. It’s doing the absurd which makes it rewarding.

As most of you know, I have a “candle graveyard” at my place. It’s where I keep testers and I also look back and admire my work.
I’m giving them away to friends since I no longer have space for them at my place. I’m feeling a bit sentimental 😭 bye bye candles. I know some of my customers offered to buy them but they’re really bad and even I wouldn’t use them lol. Took a few pictures and they’ll be off to their new homes.

Everytime I see other packaging I try to guess how much it costs 😭
Just got my second wholesale rejection today! I feel grateful for rejections because it gives me more data on how to improve. And a larger chip on my shoulder to work harder 😂
