I had this corn chowder last night and it was amazing. It had coconut and lemongrass in it. If you can imagine a Thai version of corn chowder, that’s what it was. I already want more….

Took my puppy to support our local farmers’ market. The pizza and spaztel was delish! We will be eating the fruits and veggies this weekend 😋

Weekend highlights 🤙🏽

This has been an abnormally sharky summer in Hawai’i.
Weekly (if not daily) sightings at very popular beaches & surf spots.
Lots of tiger sharks coming in really close to shore.
Last month a legendary surfer / lifeguard was killed by a shark off of O’ahu.
Still, you’re more likely to die from a lawn mower accident, constipation, or even a champagne cork than a shark attack.
“Are there any sharks in the water?”
“Every shark is in the water.”

There was such a nice calm before the storm yesterday on my regular walk around diamond head. Gotta stay indoors today, that whole area is drenched right now. 🌧️
No one outside of Hawai’i will get this, but they are selling single-strand puakenikeni leis for $95 at the lei stands!!! 😱
