My 7th 14er was the hardest for several reasons — old, out of shape, don’t live at elevation anymore, bad weather, much of the climb alone, etc — but I’m thankful to summit nonetheless.
As a beginner hiker, I can better understand my physical and mental limits during the hike, learning to rest and adjust when needed.

Managing time wisely and being prepared for unexpected situations helps improve adaptability and decision-making. Facing challenges with a positive mindset and strong willpower is key.

Sometimes the trail is overrun with post thunderstorm rainwater and you’ve not no option but to hike right through it
