We just had a hike+ice cream hang with our neighbors in Boulder and it went really well. They were all lovely humans and several people thanked us for putting this on. Got some ideas for future events and a new inter-building whatsapp group started (!!!). This is a big deal bc the community we want to build can't have @jonbo and I at the helm, it's gotta be held by many co-organizers.

Moved into a new apartment complex recently and they have monthly wine and cheese nights for people to get to know their neighbors. I’m an introvert so I haven’t been yet but I’m forcing myself to go to the next one.

All I want is to live in a “minihood” / cottage court

Today I saw my neighbor at school drop off

I was pulling into park and he didn’t see me as he walked back to his car

So I pull right up behind him, following him in the creepiest way possible

As he got to his car I parked right next to him

He turns around to catch a peak, sees me, looses his his mind laughing

Today is a pretty cool day for me

this is not what neighborhood community is supposed to feel like

2 weeks ago I had all of our building on our roof and was casually pointing out how the roof next door was NOT occupied and the fire alarm would NOT go off if anyone were to go out there…

This morning I saw that there are now two chairs arranged together in a way that wasn’t the case last week

Should I leave a cute plant out there or something?

Just met this wonderful family

When I stopped to look the library the homeowner was on his front patio and we chatted!

Turns out they built this whole yard to meet their neighbors and create community

He even created this pond with fish for kids to play with on their way to school 🥰

Ok a neighbor just left this ABSOLUTE TREASURE in our building lobby and I am taking it for my girlies 🐛❤️🌱

Talked to the person who lives there, they pointed me to people who live across the street

Those people are the neighborhood builders in the area, we're going to get coffee soon!
