writing an exceptional newsletter is getting more difficult, not easier.

the key is knowing exactly who your audience is and speaking to a type of person.
Many crypto products and teams have no real need for a community, or at least how they are currently being cultivated. Working on backing up this argument soon, but I stand by this statement. As the media landscape changes, so does the idea of community. They are forever connected.
I haven't written anything in so long and I'm sorry for that. Unfortunately much too busy with other things and while I do have something big brewing in my head, its tough to find the headspace to sit down and focus on it when I'm everywhere else. Finishing up one magazine and already working on another while copyediting a book is TOUGH!!!!!
no matter how much AI assists you in building

you're not going to be as precise or collaborative if spending excessive time addicted to social enshitification melting your brain.

I love open social spaces like farcaster, lens, etc., but they each dampen clarity tenfold.
ethereum does not need a wartime anything.

it needs super intelligent builders who ship daily, hourly even, and who stay tf off the timeline as much as possible with frequent ventures outside talking to users.
really commend MKBHD for this follow up

I've respected his content for I don't even know how long and believe it's absolutely a net positive he's in the app dev trenches

beanchain: blocks are now beans. we're all bean counters.
gotta say this is the happiest I've been in quite a while.
the duality of spending hella time online
the most interesting sides of the human psyche come out after an airdrop is announced. would love to see a study on what happens to the brain when free money is suddenly up for grabs.
one of the biggest and most glaring problems in crypto marketing is a very large percentage of halfway decent writers have relegated themselves to working PR at agencies rather than going independent.

I am squarely in the What the fuck are we doing here Moment. And no, before you rush to the comments, this is not burnout, you dingus.

After 3 years, the vibes have only mostly gone downhill and people can't seem to pull their head out of each other's assess, much less their own, long enough to be meaningful or at very least decent contributors.

Everyone online is hard shilling something or other, out of survival or hope/cope rather than pmf, so one can only assume inauthenticity.

Not sure what this means for the future but this is what's on my mind. The people left having fun on the internet have abandoned principles or are far away from crypto, for good reason. Harder than ever to find creators (in my case, writers) capable of publishing or whom have the time (overworked) and are actually nice to work with, and have meaningful things to say.

Of course I still very much believe in Ethereum, otherwise I wouldn't be leading a quarterly print magazine, but things must change.
spotify, wtf is "social media pop" 😩
what funny positioning for the book in the middle 😅
I actually enjoyed Megalopolis!

it was a bit more on the nose than I prefer, but that's how dystopian movies go. idk what anyone has to complain about...

it felt like a play, seems that was intentional so I didn't have any issues with that at all
light weekend reading before heading to see Megalopolis
do you believe there's still room for real love online, platonic, romantic, or otherwise? it seems we're in a phase of growing apart in some areas and I'm not sure what that means.
periodic reminder that some women have deeper voices and it's totally normal. not everyone bounces around the world like the girlypops ✨
wow the chemistry between Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza is wild!!
can someone please tell me if it's gatcha or gacha??
