i have a sort of confession

this summer i decided to stop writing my weekly newsletter. i stopped feeling like i had anything important to say.

it is true i get bored easily and need new things to excite me (Gemini), but i also just wasn't feeling like it was especially helpful for me.

now when i do get the inspiration to write it feels more aligned, more thoughtful, more filled with care.

along those lines, because I rarely write about technical topics I've been thinking about crypto as a writing angle less and more for curation of ideas, as I'm sure you've seen here.

I think about tech in general as a path toward love and being and that should align much more often than it does. maybe this means I'm at a sort of crossroads but I think more than that it just means coming into a type of realization/actualization that keeps me on the outside.

all this to say, i feel very dumb and I'm not sure of the path to take next, so we'll see how this turns out.

Here's one of many worst date stories:

met this girl on bumble, of course - long drive, maybe 1 hour (I'm an idiot)
i go over to her house for food and movie
she doesn't have a microwave so we heat up the food she brought from her job in the oven. fine, not a big deal just interesting.
she decides to tell me we won't be taking a tour upstairs because the people who had the house before her spraypainted obsceneties on the walls (suuuuure)
the bathroom door wouldn't close because the people who built the bathroom decided to put the sink too close to the door
her bed was a mattress on top of a wooden pallet...
after eating we watched some movie that I do not remember and chatted about general stuff.
she mentions that she believes some conspiracy theories so I, curious as I am, ask her which is her favorite one.
she says she believes we didn't land on the moon. that's when I decided I really needed to get out of there but I wanted to hear her out first...
she really believed it and had some dumb explanation.

I've been on hundreds of dates and this is likely the worst date story I've ever heard. wow

maybe the truth is creating openings to say yes to the right things more often, even if they don't last as long.

for a media company, building early and sustained credibility is critical.

for a crypto media company, earned credibility outside our tiny bubble of Warpcast, Lens, Spotify, and Twitter is essential regardless of what crypto-native OGs might say. media is media and reliability, consistency, and creativity matter.
