Excited to meet with crypto builders and advocates tomorrow at the Crypto4Harris event in DTLA!

With Kamala Harris, we have a pro-technology and forward-thinking candidate who is open to thoughtful suggestions regarding the regulation impacting the crypto industry.

Don't let anyone tell you that your voice doesn't matter. The recent positive statements from the Harris campaign show that our outreach is already making a real impact on this election, but there is still much work to do.

I will be working until election day to ensure that future President Harris understands the importance of the burgeoning crypto industry and its capacity to usher in another century of American leadership on the global stage. I hope you will join me.

RSVP below and don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to get involved. Your voice matters—now more than ever.

Join Crypto4Harris for an evening of food, drinks, and networking as we rally the LA crypto community in support of the Harris campaign. The event will be held on September 26 at the Row DTLA.

With the election season nearing its end, this is one of the last chances for the crypto industry to demonstrate its influence and make our voices heard. Don't miss this chance to make a real impact on the closest election of our lifetime.

RSVP below, and don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to get involved. Together, we can champion bipartisan support for crypto innovation and secure a brighter future for America—and our bags!

Does anyone know if there are campaign finance laws that would prohibit an issuer from programmatically donating trading fees to a SuperPAC?

With proper distance from a candidate, it seems like there is an obvious use case for a coin associated with a candidate (e.g., MAGA) to gain public acceptance by acting as a partial donation to the candidate's message.

Is anyone building this (or is it illegal)?
SEC's crypto enforcement head resigned less than two weeks before SEC sued Consensys with another frivolous lawsuit, regurgitating claims soundly rejected in Coinbase case.

Could be a coincidence, but I imagine SEC morale is at an all-time low. Expect to see more departures as Gensler triples down on failed strategy
I’ll say it. Gavin for president
I would pay some real money for a live stream of Dean Phillips watching this debate

People underestimate the likelihood of both presidential candidates running on pro-crypto policies to target the much-needed "young vote." Bullish.

And big shoutout to @skyron.eth, @thethriller, @codeofcrypto, and @proxystudio.eth for your help with planning and/or funding the event. 🙏
CZ was sentenced to 4 months in prison.

Are there any other local folks who couldn't snag a Farcon ticket who are planning to get together during the convention?

I'd much rather chill with some fellow rejects than FOMO at home.

Based attorneys everywhere learning that Uniswap has received a Wells Notice from the SEC
On March 20, reports surfaced that the SEC is investigating the EF

One week later, the EF proposed changing Ethereum’s issuance curve and is loudly shouted down by the community

Seems like pretty compelling evidence that the EF doesn’t control the protocol. Coincidence or strategic lawyering? I think the latter
Seeing a lot of comparisons between sentencing for SBF (25 years) and Ross Ulbrecht (life w/o parole). Curious about this channel's thoughts on the matter.

My potentially hot take is in the comments.
1/2 For those who believe that the SEC will deny the ETH spot ETF in May, what is your best guess as to the SEC’s justification for the denial?

Personally, I don’t see a plausible justification. The SEC already approved ETH Futures ETFs, so I don’t see how they justify denying a spot ETF of the same product.
Anyone here know whether transaction wrappers to collect taxes would be feasible?

As more economic activity moves onchain, the gov is bound to get more insistent about getting its cut. Would love to hear thoughts about how that might happen
Not looking good for Christian Horner.

Ford CEO sent a letter to Red Bull Racing demanding information about the investigation and a “resolution we can all stand behind.”

If RB isn’t telling their corporate partners anything, they probably don’t have anything good to say…

Very interested in the “AI money” narrative that @eric.eth mentioned on the latest episode. Anyone seen any articles, blogs, threads, etc. fleshing out that narrative/thesis?

Before Farcaster, users rented their online identity from some tech company by looking at ads.

After Farcaster, you finally own your online identity. Literally no one can take your FID from you.

And if you’re reading this, you have a very low FID. Congrats 🫡
Not gonna lie, this made my week
