I joined a "How to Talk Politics with Friends & Family" webinar - here's what I learned.
1. Can't say the wrong thing to the right person. Expressing your opinion to someone you love/loves you should be safe as long as the conversation remains respectful.
2. Protect your peace. The importance of knowing to keep certain topics surface level with certain people.
3. You don't have to talk politics to everyone. Talk to those that want to engage in conversation or those who challenge your perspective.
Being new to the political world, I'm still learning how to navigate these tough conversations. I'll take any pointers that anyone has to give ๐ฅฐ
