I wonder how many North Koreans are on Farcaster already? Time to create the Pyongyang channel.

OK, TIL that Bluesky/ATProto relays basically have to host the entire state of a PDS as it grows over time. I don't think this is sustainable.
The era of 'free cloud storage on Zuck's dime because it's all paid for by ads' is coming to a close.
The main problem with ATProto PDSes hosted on traditional webservers is the same problem as Mastodon: if you want to leave you'll have to beg for your data. The happy path is that your PDS host isn't a tyrant and lets you download your data. The unhappy path means you're stuck & held hostage.
Checked out Wunderbar in San Mateo, tried a Bengal Tiger and Holy Water. The Bengal Tiger is one of the best Colada variants I've had!
ENS solves this 🦾
Physics is now a subset of computer science, few understand this. /s
This is why I've always found the twitterati "build more homes for families" while pointing to an ultramodern highrise to be incredibly disingenuous. Anyone not born yesterday knows that the management company will do anything & everything, teetering on legality, to prevent a family with kids from moving in. https://x.com/LizWolfeReason/status/1843251558471151675
Pretty disappointed in Costco...same price as Total Wine and I have to pay for a membership. Short $COST into the ground 😤👎↘️📉
Google unfortunately dropped the ball to use John Lennon's "Imagine"

Two thoughts on the EIGEN social engineering exploit:
1. We need secure messaging. Even Vitalik in the early days of Ethereum fell prey to a scammer on Skype. https://warpcast.com/chaskin.eth/0x2843ec73
It would be great if everyone used PGP, but that's not going to happen tomorrow, so at least use Signal, or alternatives like @ethstatus or matrix.
2. Onchain vesting should be the default, not 'qualified custodians'. Investors should adapt to crypto not the other way around. At the very least these QCs should provide attestation services to verify that they are in control of an address, so at least the token distributor can know it's the correct one. https://x.com/ViktorBunin/status/1842368953416364180
Welcome to @traylorjones to FC! Onboarded at FC Fridays SF!
Tried out some expressions from The Balvenie & Glenfiddich! The 19 Week of Peat (not shown here) was probably my fave.
Interesting how many Biotech diagnostics startups are moving to North SJ. Namely, I know of Visby Medical and now this one, Vibrant Medical.

Enjoyed this podcast with Jay Graber (CEO of Bluesky). I think the "domain name verification" feature is something Warpcast could add via ENS's support for traditional TLDs.

It only took me my entire Sunday, and probably another 15ish hours spread across the past two months to finish my crypto taxes. Who knew it was this easy? /s
But for real, thanks to @rotki for running on my laptop and not the cloud. There's no way the iteration loop of "Find problems, fix them, generate new profit & loss report" would have happened in under 48 hours of work if I had to wait 10 minutes every time for a cloud job to run...and it would have cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars since all these 'cryptotax' services charge per transaction...doesn't work when you were staking 1 dollars worth of Tezos on Coinbase with near daily rewards.

Lesson for next time: avoid Friendtech or anything that doesn't have easily parsable transaction mechanics (meaning, uses anything other than standard ERC-20s/721/1155 NFTs).

This was cool, Meta recorded Zuck's keynote in parallax, so you get the effect as you walk around the room to see the theater screen at different angles. Try it out if you have an Oculus device.

I wanted to say cyclotron, klystron, and rhumbatron, but then I found this much more interesting article, great read:
