Over the past few weeks, the Cares team has focused on merging onchain innovation with real-world impact through traditional brands and Web2 partners in our network. In addition to attending events and showcasing our work with Nouns, we've begun developing solutions for partners, including onchain fundraising mechanisms for charity. We're also building onboarding and educational pathways to take people from street to onchain in minutes. Our upcoming partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, leading charities, fashion brands, and tech giants will underwrite talent, create opportunities, and drive initiatives powered by Nouns and its community. This will include generating cash back into the DAO and providing funding through Props and Rewards that brand partners can actively participate in.

My focus for Nouns over the next 12 months is to develop sponsored props and co-funding with strategic partners, brands, local governments, and charities.

Brands and sponsors can play a crucial role in Nouns props, not only offsetting treasury costs but also significantly amplifying the impact of our initiatives. Additionally, co-branded events, where the Nouns brand + tech are activated and funded in partnership, will push the boundaries of what's possible in the onchain space.

From our discussions with Web2 partners, there's a strong desire to build onchain programs and partnerships. Yet, many need help finding the right talent. Nouns, alongside established and legacy brands, can step in to bridge this gap. By working together, onchain and in the public eye, we can tap into established brands and audiences, giving our partners the best chance to succeed onchain.
Over the next two years, @wmw and I will be courting Nouns talent, holders within the DAO, and onchain brands for The Ellinikon (https://www.designboom.com/architecture/the-ellinikon-takes-shape-greece-15-minute-smart-city-athens-05-18-2024/) ,a smart city/ in Athens, Greece.

The challenge with consumer crypto lies in its limited real-world market demonstration from crypto-focused brands/chains/platforms. While brands like Ledger, Coinbase, Matcha, and MoonPay are integrating into the real world, there’s still a need for more strategic and IRL approaches. IRL events are promising, but expanding into conventions that blend commerce, minting, art, and retail could make a difference.

The key issue is the lack of consumers. To gain new users, we need to provide new, compelling content and experiences.

We have been working with the Michelin team over the past few months to support their onchain goals, with the most recent conversations centered around partnering with Nouns. This partnership will enhance Michelin's onchain efforts through IRL events, art, merchandise, prop support and rounds.

Our aim is to enrich the onchain community and create opportunities for both Nouns and Michelin holders. We're focused on helping the general public understand onchain opportunities, empowering artists and builders, and developing innovative real-world strategies and impactful philanthropic initiatives.

Michelin is committed to building a better world onchain, and /cares is thrilled to welcome them into our family.

Nouns need a full-time team of vetted executors and operators committed to building, organizing, and completing work. This isn't a criticism of anyone within Nouns, but in my eight months here, I haven't encountered anyone in the community with the real-world operational experience or capacity to take on this role effectively—or who wants to.

Outside of the website/content/social dilemma and where things should live, we also need stronger support and onboarding for current and new holders. Proposals require more thorough vetting, management, and maintenance to ensure they have the best chance of success. Once a proposal passes, a dedicated team should guide it and maximize its potential.

We have more than enough talent within Nouns to organize these teams and hire new folks within our community for specific projects, which is the current mission of /cares.
