One thing my family taught me that I would most want to pass on to my children is the importance of samskaras—values like respect for elders, humility, compassion, and a sense of responsibility towards family and society. These are not just traditions but guiding principles that shape one's character and help navigate life with integrity and purpose.
(The word samskara comes from Sanskrit, meaning "impressions," "purifications)

I heard the tale of ‘Mzee Wa Nyuki,’ loosely translated to ‘Old Bee Man.’ He was a former Maasai witch doctor who had been cursed and now haunted the narrow streets of the slum city, Kibera.
According to the story, he had accidentally invoked the wrath of the bee god, Mungu Wa Nyuki, and was now doomed to wander restlessly, with his head and most of his upper body covered in bees. His face was disfigured by the insects, that had planted larvae in his skin and he was driven half mad by their squirming and buzzing inside his skull.
If you were unfortunate enough to encounter him in the deserted streets late at night, he would open his mouth in a silent scream and release a swarm of bees upon you, after which you would suffer the same tragic fate as the infamous witch doctor.
