Why did Jesus come?
To free us from the tyranny of the law and unveil His marvelous grace?
Yes, but thatβs not why Jesus said He came.
In fact, when our Lord announced His public ministry, He didn't even mention these things. Instead, He proclaimed a ministry of compassion.
Jesus opened His heart to comfort the hurting and set free those in bondage.
Jesus made it clear that He came to minister through His presence and not just His promises, to offer Himself as The Blesser and not just extend His blessings. He entered our painful, broken world so He could be all He is to all we need, available to us the moment we trust Him in faith.
