"Why Did Jesus Come?" (part 1)

Why did Jesus come?
To free us from the tyranny of the law and unveil His marvelous grace?
Yes, but that’s not why Jesus said He came.
In fact, when our Lord announced His public ministry, He didn't even mention these things. Instead, He proclaimed a ministry of compassion.
Jesus opened His heart to comfort the hurting and set free those in bondage.
Jesus made it clear that He came to minister through His presence and not just His promises, to offer Himself as The Blesser and not just extend His blessings. He entered our painful, broken world so He could be all He is to all we need, available to us the moment we trust Him in faith.

The majority of the time faith isn’t a grand gesture.
Most of the time it’s saying “yes” (or “no”) to the little things God wants us to trust Him with.

“A rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face about a week ago. Deadliest snake that lives around here. The sheep’s face swelled up and hurt her terribly.
But the old rattlesnake didn't know the kind of blood that flows through the sheep. Anti-venom is most often made from sheep's blood. The sheep swelled for about 2 days but the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the serpent.
I was worried but the sheep didn't care. She kept on eating, kept on drinking, and kept on climbing because she knew she was alright.
Don't worry about the serpent or his bite, just make sure that the Lamb's Blood is flowing through your veins.”

Prayers for all the people in the path of Hurricane Helene. This is just 4 hours from my house in the mountains. There are no passable roads!🙏

I once started to pray "Give us this day our daily bread" genuinely, everyday and ever since that day, sometimes I have to tell the Lord to go bless somebody else. I have more than enough. Barn is always full!
I was reading John 7. It was an interesting interaction to say things lightly. I am planning on making a video about this and will share it later if all goes well.
