Christianity

Never bring up religion or politics so let's talk about Christianity!

I totally get the concept of donating offertory in church to an unseen being. At least Pascal’s wager put you on 50% chance of acceptance
What I do not get is me not going to the gym in 2 months

GM ☀️New week new possibilities!💛
Christ is... (finish the sentence)
began the weekend by thinking about math possibly being a proof for theism.

There is more goodness in Christ than i could ever imagine.
Susan Blackmore is profoundly anti-God which is why this statement in her book The Meme Machine caught me off guard:
"We have largely divorced the act, and joy, and marketing of sex, from its reproductive function."

It was her use of the word joy that gave me pause. Why use the word joy? What does she mean by that?

It made me ask the following question:
"What is the joy of sex?"

I believe the Holy Spirit instantly answered my question as I immediately responded to myself:
The joy of sex is the guiltless, physical manifestation of the spiritual unity shared between a husband and a wife.

What do you think?
Hungry, I come to You for I know You satisfy.
I am empty, but I know Your Love does not run dry.
So I wait for you, so I wait for you.

Just read Warren Buffet’s letter and I’m reminded of Eccl 2:18-20 😄😂
I remember a few of my birthdays very clearly from when I was growing up, I cannot picture the gifts given to me by friends. I DO remember their smiles, laughter, and how good it was to be together.
"Fit for a king"
- an idiom that means something is very good or good enough for a king

I was thinking about this saying this morning as I was listening to "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake. The lyric goes...

"And I know it's not much
But I've nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah, hallelujah."

Fit for a King...
A heart...

Then it hit me, He makes me fit Him.
Jesus is the only thing that could PERMANENTLY make my heart good. So good, in fact, that my heart, and the heart of every believer, is where God chooses to take up residence.

"Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you."
1 Cor 16:9

There's nothing I could do on my own to make me "good enough" for God" to come live in me. Jesus is the only one. He is the only way. And because of Him, I am fit for Him.

Jesus answers the question we all ask, "Am I good enough?" with, "I am good. Therefore you are good because of me."

We are fit for a King because he has made us so!

Hallelujah 🙌
GM ☀️Have a Miraculous Monday!💛
Happy Sunday!

“If you tell me Christian commitment is a thing that has happened to you once and for all like some kind of spiritual plastic surgery, I say you're either pulling the wool over your own eyes or trying to pull it over mine. Every morning you should wake up in your bed and ask yourself: 'Can I believe it all again today?' No, better still, don't ask it till after you've read The New York Times, till after you've studied that daily record of the world's brokenness and corruption, which should always stand side by side with your Bible. Then ask yourself if you can believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ again for that particular day.”
