This Year I Built:
I took a deep dive into the world of blockchain scalability by studying Layer 1 and Layer 2 rollups. These solutions are reshaping Ethereum's scalability landscape, and I explored how rollups work, the differences between ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups, centralized sequencers, and the critical rollup stages that make everything tick.
@l2beat became an invaluable tool for tracking rollup projects, and I’m currently immersing myself in Zero Knowledge Rollups, with Optimistic Rollups next on my radar. Each concept brings exciting possibilities for decentralization, efficiency, and mass adoption!
Stay tuned—this journey has only just begun. More coming in 2025 🚀

This week I built:
1. Started Learning about Blockchain Development afresh from @cyfrin . Its been quite demanding digesting it all in, from how the blockchain works, to the cryptography used by BTC and ETH, to hashing algorithms, to mining, blocks, decentralization, nounces, up to understanding Gases in depth. Also Learned about the Ethereum Improvement Proposal, and how the current ETH Fee model worked, then to Consensus Protocols (PoW & PoS), Blockchain Attacks (Sybil & 51% Attacks).
2. Went on to study about Layer 1 and Layer 2 rollups and how these solutions are solving the scalability problems of Ethereum, and how the Rollups work, the types of rollups and their differences, centralized sequencers, rollup stages ( a very big deal i must say), also understanding @l2beat application.
PS: The course I'm using is currently focusing on Zero Knowledge Rollups (ZK rollups), but essentially, I'll move to learning about Optimistic Rollups afterwards.😁

I just started learning Solidity using the platform Cyfrin Updraft Blockchain course by @patrickalphac.. I can already see it going amazingly well
I'm very open to advice on my learning map and structure😁
PS: I don't know frontend development, i didn't find it intriguing building UIs, I hope its not an issue for Blockchain development

150k basenames in just a few days... certainly, the world is getting based 🔵 in a very near future
This week I built:
1. Wrote an article on "Understanding Onchain Name Services and the Transition from Base Name Service to Basenames", so as to her builders discover how Basenames is transforming onchain identities and driving growth in the Base Ecosystem. Simplifying user experience, enhancing security, and paving the way for millions of new users and developers.

2. Started working on a Youtube video to broadly explain this benefit to the the masses (my first time editing videos, i'll try to do a good job though😅)

I just got my Basename as part of Onchain Summer! 😎
Basenames are ENS names supercharged by @base: low-cost (or free!), easy to use, and a powerful tool for connecting builders across the onchain economy.

@buildbot nominate @lotacrypt for being so dedicated to onboarding hundreds of people to @baseafrica in Enugu, Nigeria
This week I built:
I crafted an article that delves into the elegance of Base Smart Wallets, shedding light on how they effortlessly resolve the challenges and inconveniences that early blockchain users once faced. In this piece, I explore the wallet's standout features, highlighting its user-focused design, and offering a glimpse into its promising future. I also walk readers through the simple steps of creating their own wallet, making the process feel approachable and exciting.
This article serves as a welcoming guide for new crypto enthusiasts, showing how @base prioritises user experience and nurtures a thriving ecosystem designed for everyone.

I've been a bit shy to make my first cast.. But not anymore😅
I'll be creating content about tech and blockchain, excited to explore this new medium.😊
