Notably, the company said it has added $100 million worth of bitcoins to its portfolio, and its bitcoin reserves have crossed the $1 billion mark with recent accumulations.
It also comes amid a somber sentiment in the broader cryptocurrency market, reflecting the company's confidence in the flagship digital currency despite recent setbacks. In a recent announcement, the company said it bought 990 bitcoins worth about $100 million, or an average of about $101,710 per bitcoin. With this purchase, the bitcoin miner's total assets increased to 10,096 bitcoins, representing a market cap of more than $1 billion.

Crypto ETPs have recorded $20.3 billion in inflows over the past 10 weeks, accounting for 45% of all inflows in 2024.

Digital asset investment products saw another $3.2 billion in the trading week of December 9-13, digital currency investment firm CoinShares reported in its latest weekly report on Monday, December 16. This follows a record $3.85 billion in weekly inflows in the previous period, bringing total inflows to $44.5 billion for 2024.

MicroStrategy's latest Bitcoin purchase brought its total Bitcoin holdings to 439,000 Bitcoins for a total purchase price of $27.1 billion.

Microstrategy Inc., a major Bitcoin holder, added 15,350 Bitcoins to its holdings and spent almost $1.5 billion in cash. The last purchase was made at an average price of approximately $100,386 per bitcoin using proceeds from the issuance and sale of shares under the convertible note sale contract.
The purchase brings the total Bitcoin holdings of MicroStrategy and its subsidiaries to 439,000 Bitcoins, equivalent to $45.6 billion, for a total purchase price of $27.1 billion, or an average purchase price of approximately $61,725 per Bitcoin.

Michael Silver, founder of MicroStrategy, highlighted the company's bitcoin performance, noting a 46.4% quarter-to-date return and a 72.4% year-to-date return.
