new loosely held opinion:
yes c++ can do it all but the young crop has not had the years to learn all those safe patterns. they learned to code with ts/python instead of c/java.
hence, the rust compiler shouting at them is better training wheels and for your project than forcing them into endless gdb rabbit holes
